Naslen teamed up with director Khalid Rahman for the sports comedy Alappuzha Gymkhana, which is releasing in theatres on Thursday. In a recent interview with Club FM, Naslen was asked if he is there in Good Bad Ugly, but the Malayalam actor replied in the negative.
"No, I was not able to do it. There was a meeting and all. But it was the same time during our Alappuzha Gymkhana shoot. So, couldn’t do it,” Naslen replied, even as director Khalid Rahman, who was sitting right next to him, nodded along.
If Naslen had said yes to Good Bad Ugly, the popular Malayalam star would have had two big releases this week.

Naslen plays the role of JoJo in Alappuzha Gymkhana, which also features Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep and Anagha Ravi, along with a bunch of youngsters. The film follows the hilarious events after a group of students decide to compete in boxing competitions to secure grace marks for college admission.
Expectations are high for the movie as it is headlined by Naslen, who is known for his charm and acting chops. This is also Khalid Rahman’s next project after Tovino Thomas-starrer Thallumaala, which also revolved around youngsters of this generation.
On the other hand, Good Bad Ugly stars Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan along with Simran, Arjun Das, and Jackie Shroff. Adhik Ravichandran has directed this Tamil movie.
