Alappuzha Gymkhana vs Bazooka day 2 box office collection: Premalu star Naslen-led sports comedy and Mammootty’s action-packed thriller hit theatres on April 10, 2025, as a Vishu release. Both were the most-anticipated films of the season, along with Basil Joseph’s Maranaamass. But Alappuzha Gymkhana and Turbo actor Mammootty's Bazooka have made a jumpstart at the box office, and seem to be engaged in a neck-and-neck contest, with both collecting over Rs 5 crore, as per the figures on Sacnilk. On the other hand, Basil Joseph’s Maranaamass is lagging behind. Here’s the day-wise break-up of the Malayalam films.
Naslen’s Alappuzha Gymkhana, directed by Khalid Rahman, has minted a total of Rs 5.15 crore at the box office in its two days at the box office, as per Sacnilk figures. On day 1, the Malayalam sports comedy made Rs 2.65 crore, while it earned Rs 2.50 crore on day 2.
On the other hand, Mammootty’s Bazooka, directed by Deeno Dennis, took off to a solid start with Rs 3.2 crore on day 1 but got mixed reviews. The film, which also featured Gautham Vasudev Menon, dropped to around Rs 2.00 crore on day 2. The total earnings of Bazooka now stand at Rs 5.20 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Though Bazooka seems to have a slight edge over Alappuzha Gymkhana, it needs to be pointed out that the Mammootty-starrer saw a bigger drop than Naslen’s sports comedy on day 2. The reviews of Alappuzha Gymphana, which features a bunch of youngsters, have been largely positive and the pre-sales for Saturday also look good, hinting that the Khalid Rahman directorial is poised for a splendid weekend at the box office.
Mammootty’s Bazooka has also not lost momentum, and it remains to be seen how both films will perform during the first weekend.

Sivaprasad directorial Maranamass, which is co-produced by Tovino Thomas, has been holding steady by earning over 1 crore in both days at the box office, with the total coming up to Rs 2.72 crore in worldwide collections. But Basil Joseph's film currently does not pose much of a challenge to both Bazooka and Alappuzha Gymkhana.
