Alaya F is slowly climbing the ladder of success since making her acting debut with the 2020 film Jawaani Jaaneman. Last seen in Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat, the actor said in an interview that the pandemic has changed the Hindi film industry and that she finds it easier to adapt to it now.

Talking about the changed approaches, she said that the pandemic has changed the way that people think and that she feels lucky to be a part of this new version. “This post-pandemic industry is easier for me to adapt to," the actor told PTI in an interview.

Making her film debut right before COVID-19 hit in Nitin Kakkar’s Jawaani Jaaneman, Alaya considers the pandemic as the biggest obstacle in her four-year-old acting career. She feels that it was a good time for her to capitalise on her talent and the good reviews she received after Jawaani Jaaneman releases.

Speaking about her struggles after the pandemic, Alaya said, “I didn’t have a release for two years and 11 months after my debut film. That was not easy. During the whole phase of the pandemic, I was like, 'Is my career over?'.”

Now, however, she feels happy and lucky to be associated with this new film industry, in which the creators and viewers are going through a shift in their approach. "The silver lining is that everything has turned out well. In the last six months, I have had three releases. It feels great,” she said.

The actress will next be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller film, U-Turn in which she shares screen space with Piyush Painyuli will release on April 28 on ZEE5. Helmed by debutant director Arif Khan, the film also stars Ashim Gulati. It is the Hindi remake of the blockbuster Kannada film U Turn that had Shraddha Srinath in the lead role. The film was also made in Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam and Telugu languages.
