Alec Baldwin has announced a special Instagram Live session with veteran filmmaker Woody Allen. Allen, 86, recently had his new short humor collection published titled Zero Gravity and one could assume the book to be the main topic of discussion in the session.

The Instagram Live Session is scheduled to take place on June 28 at 10:30, Eastern Standard Time (8 pm IST)

Alec Baldwin shares a video note with his Insta followers in his quintessential style to announce the upcoming interview. "Who I love. I love you, Woody,” Baldwin says in the same video clip. The two have previously worked on films titled Alice, To Rome With Love, and Blue Jasmine and are known to share good camaraderie off the screen.

Woody Allen has been a polarizing figure over the years and in light of this, Alec Baldwin wrote in the same Insta post that he has ZERO INTEREST in anyone's judgments and sanctimonious posts here. "I am OBVIOUSLY someone who has my own set of beliefs and COULD NOT CARE LESS about anyone else’s speculation. If you believe that a trial should be conducted by way of an HBO documentary, that’s your issue added Baldwin.

The announcement of the live session ended up attracting negative comments almost unanimously with followers declining from participating in it. "You lost us at Woody. Very poor choice," said one user while another wrote, "You support Woody Allen? Don't you know....sorry, but that is not a good move!".

Woody Allen's life and career have been marred with controversy and sexual abuse allegations that first surfaced back in 1992. Allen was accused by his seven-year-old adopted daughter Dylan Farrow of sexual molestation and although was declared not guilty by the courts citing a lack of substantial evidence, the allegations have remained associated with him. The Annie Hall director was in a relationship with actress Mia Farrow for twelve years and together they have three children - Dylan Farrow, Moses Farrow (both adopted), and one biological child named Ronan Farrow.

The same allegations were the subject of the recent HBO documentary Allen vs Farrow directed by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering which explored both sides of the story. Allen has been known to be reluctant about discussing the events on a public forum but has shared a few details regarding his innocence over the years - he spoke about the same with Alec Baldwin on the latter's podcast titled Here's The Thing with Alec Baldwin.
