An action thriller series starring Ali Fazal and directed by Prosit Roy will be available on Prime Video, according to reports that surfaced last week. The series will reportedly begin shooting in April of this year, according to the latest reports in mid-day. The reason being, after filming on Raj-DK's Rakt Bramhand, Fazal's forthcoming series was halted; he decided to move on to the next project without wasting any time.

Filming begins in April

Roy and the actor will begin filming their contemporary crime drama in Delhi in April so they can get this show on the road. The unnamed series is reportedly in the works as a massive action extravaganza.

An insider informed the tabloid that Fazal was to start this show a little later in the year. The delay in filming Rakt Bramhand due to reshoots and alleged financial mismanagement has caused the new series to start earlier than planned. Based on a true story, it deals with issues of crime and punishment.

Based on a true story

Filming will begin in Delhi and continue in Mumbai for the series, which also stars Sonali Bendre. Preparation for Fazal is set to begin this week.

According to the insider, the team is finalising real locations across Delhi because the show is based on true events. As someone who co-directed the first season of Paatal Lok, Roy is keen on preserving the show's authentic, immersive aesthetic. The series will also feature Fazal performing intricate action scenes. The unit will relocate to Mumbai to film the climax when the Delhi schedule concludes in May.

Managing multiple projects

Although the second leg of Rakt Bramhand may coincide with it, Fazal will reportedly manage to keep both projects afloat. The Netflix series is directed by Rahil Anil Barve and also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.
