Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are now officially married!

It is official! Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are now married. The intimate wedding was adorned by the presence of family and friends and held at Vastu, Ranbir’s home in Mumbai. Hindustan Times states that as per sources, the newly married couple will make their first official appearance to the public as husband and wife around 7 pm outside Vastu, the wedding venue.

Now that the wedding is settled, the couple’s admirers will definitely be looking forward to a lavish reception filled with the Bollywood fraternity. However, here, the fans do not have much to rejoice about.

Their wedding choreographer Rajendra Singh has confirmed the news as he spoke to India Today that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are not planning to host a reception. “Reception Hoga hi nahi. (They will not host any reception). No, there’s nothing happening,” he said. After Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, these lovebirds too seem to have followed suit.

Meanwhile, the media fraternity which has gathered outside the couple’s home has been treated with the utmost respect. Members of the paparazzi and media were treated with tea and snacks outside the wedding venue. The wedding planners later brought out bundles of food for the photographers and the journalists.

The Kapoor-Bhatt wedding was attended by leading names from the Bollywood industry. From Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor to Akash and Shloka Ambani and Karan Johar himself, everyone took the spotlight in their designer outfits as they attended the duo’s wedding.

However, amidst all the festivities, fake photos of the couple’s wedding have begun making the rounds on social media and it is only advisable for their fans to stay away from them.

Worry not, for the wait will soon be over because we are as eager to see them as you are!

Ranbir and Alia will be seen together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming movie, Brahmastra. The film is slated to release on September 9.
