In an exciting development, Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt has dropped her first-ever vlog (or a short video) on YouTube today. In the video, Alia Bhatt revealed the details behind the creation of Tum Kya Mile – a song from her upcoming movie named Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Tum Kya Mile is a beautiful love song sung by legendary singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal for a romantic movie. The official video of the song features superstars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles.
In a 7-minute short video shared by Alia Bhatt today, Alia outlined the difficulties faced by the cast and crew of the movie while shooting for the song. She even mentioned that the first day of the shoot in Jammu and Kashmir was called off as it was snowing heavily.
Alia said, “It is minus three degrees Celsius outside. On day 1 of the shoot, it was snowing. We were not allowed to shoot outside.”
A day later, the team of the film decided to commence the shoot. Alia even thanked popular make-up artist Mickey Contractor for doing subtle makeup to add charm to her overall look.
Alia mentions in the video that she shot the song just four months after giving birth to her first child, Raha. In the video, she even showed how she prepped up to perform at the shoot.
The video also featured glimpses of superstar Ranveer Singh, director Karan Kohar and fashion designer Manish Malhotra working hard to make the shoot of the song a success.
In one of the glimpses, Karan can be heard talking to Alia wherein he funnily called Alia Bhatt a “Dharma Deewani.” For those who don't know, Karan Johar is the owner of Dharma Productions - the official production house producing Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Later, Karan Johar even pressed on the fact that it was difficult for Alia to shoot in chiffon sarees in the backdrop of snowclad mountains. Johar even apologized to Alia Bhatt for the inconvenience caused to which she politely accepted.
Directed by Karan Johar and produced by Dharma Productions, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is slated to be released theatrically on July 28.
