Alia Bhatt on filming Heart of Stone during pregnancy: Will never forget how beautifully I was treated

Alia Bhatt seems to be having quite a year. After the success of her releases Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR, the actress is gearing up for the release of her debut production venture Darlings. Alia also wrapped up filming on her debut Hollywood film, Heart of Stone. The actress recently opened up about the experience of working on the film while being pregnant.

In conversation with Variety, Alia spoke of how she felt she had quite a task at hand, because she was not only filming her first action movie, but she also had to do it while being pregnant. But despite that, she had a comfortable experience working on the film, and credits the crew for it. “It’s(filming) something that I will never forget because of how beautifully and how well I was treated.”

Alia spoke of how she was left impressed by the safety precautions the crew took. She also said that the makers had made sure to take good care of her, even during the times she felt homesick while filming on location in London.

On her experience of working with co-stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, Alia said she had a ‘lovely time’ shooting with them, as well as with director Tom Harper. The actress said that she thought they were onto something ‘cool’, and was excited for the film’s release.

Meanwhile, Alia will next be seen in Darlings, which also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew. Alia produced the film under her Eternal Sunshine Productions, along with Red Chillies Entertainment.

Darlings, directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, will release on Netflix on August 5.

The actress will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The film is scheduled for release on September 9.
