Yours Truly is about a 57-year-old woman, Mithi Kumar, who falls in love with the voice of the railway station announcer during her daily commute. As her work hours come to an end, Mithi embarks on a journey to find the man she loves through her voice. The story explores her loneliness, longing, and search for connection, as she imagines a soulmate in the voice she hears. The film is based on an Annie Zaidi short story, The One That Was Announced.
Some of her other works include Mandi (1983), Trikal (1985), Khamosh (1985), Such a Long Journey (1998), and Raazi (2018). She also worked in several OOTT projects such as The Verdict - State vs Nanavati, Out of Love, This Way Up, and Call My Agent: Bollywood.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt is all set to be seen in the romantic musical drama Love & War directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles, making it a triangular love story. The film will hit theaters in 2026.
On the other hand, she is gearing up for the release of YRF's Spy Universe film, Alpha. Also starring Sharvari, the film is the story of two female super agents who deal with a high-stakes world of espionage and action. Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, it is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2025.
