Alia Bhatt remembers receiving her first salary for her debut film Student Of The Year

Alia Bhatt is considered one of the most remarkable actors today in Bollywood. She made her acting debut with the Karan Johar-helmed 2012 film Student Of The Year. Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, too, made their debut with the same movie.

In a recent interview with Mid Day, Alia recollected the remuneration she received for her first movie. She revealed that she was paid Rs 15 lakh for Student Of The Year. The actress also revealed that she gave the money to her mother Soni Razdan to handle it.

She also disclosed that her mother still manages her finances. According to Alia, "I don't know how much money I have in my bank account. I know it is a good amount, but I don't know how much exactly I have and it's good I don't know. My team often keeps telling me that I need to sit down and look at my finances. And now that I am having a child, I feel like I should get a hold of my finances."

Alia went on to claim that her CA, who is also a family friend of hers, becomes quite worried and advises her to spend money and have fun. She said that she doesn't invest much and doesn't spend much. She said, "My mother does it and they let me know where it is invested.” The actress also disclosed that she purchased her first vehicle at the age of 19 and her first home at the age of 22.

On the work front, Alia recently appeared in Jasmeet K Reen’s Darlings. She's currently looking forward to the premiere of the highly anticipated film Brahmastra, in which she has worked alongside Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna will have important roles in the Ayan Mukerji-directed movie. The film will be released in theatres on September 9.

Alia is also co-starring with Ranveer Singh in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani by Karan Johar. Besides, she is working in the Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif-starring film Jee Le Zaraa directed by Farhan Akhtar. She will make her Hollywood debut soon with Heart Of Stone.
