Alia Bhatt REVEALS the reason behind wearing her wedding sari at the National Awards 2023

Secondly, Alia Bhatt redefined ‘sustainability’ by wearing her wedding sari while receiving the National Awards at the hands of the respected Indian President Droupadi Murmu.

Alia Bhatt, who was in conversation at the ‘Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2023’, spoke about the thought process behind wearing her wedding sari at National Awards 2023.

Alia Bhatt said, “Whenever there is a big event or a big moment coming up, the first thought is that you start preparing for it. When it was announced on social media, my mind instantly went to 'okay where's it going to be and what am I going to wear?' And instinctively I just felt like 'I think I'm gonna (going to) re-wear my wedding saree and it just felt very me because that saree was thought and Ideated and done beautifully by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. But it was a lot of me. It was a garment that I felt most myself in. A special outfit can be worn for a special occasion more than once”.
