Looks like Dharma Productions is leaving no stone unturned to dissolve negative news surrounding its film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Recently, filmmaker Karan Johar posted a video on his Instagram account, announcing the release date of Tum Kya Mile – a romantic song from his upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The video had no mention of Shreya Ghoshal, who reportedly lent her voice to Alia Bhatt in the soundtrack.
Soon after this, national-award winning singer Shreya Ghoshal allegedly shared a tweet on being ignored by Karan Johar while promoting her song Tum Kya Mile. From then onwards, Karan Johar has been receiving severe backlash from a section of social media users, many of whom complain that Karan is biased towards female singers in the industry.
To dilute this uproar, Karan and Shreya exchanged heartfelt comments with each other on Instagram today morning. And now, to add to a pinch of sweetness to this news development is Alia Bhatt.
Just a few minutes ago, Alia Bhatt dropped an Instagram post in which she can be seen lip-syncing Shreya Ghoshal's version of Tum Kya Mile. This post has been liked by Karan Johar as well. Alia captioned this post: “Pehle pahado mein aur ab beach pe… hum toh gaate rahenge #TumKyaMile”
This post has been liked by over 7 lakh Instagram users including popular fashion designer Manish Malhotra and Alia’s mother Soni Razdan. In the post, Alia can be seen in a vacation mode and is enjoying her time at a beach.
As on date, superstar Alia is on a vacation with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and their daughter, Raha. The couple married in April 2022, and welcomed their first child in November last year.
About Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
This romantic drama film features popular actors Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in titular roles. along with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in supporting roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on July 28.
Earlier Karan had revealed that this song is a homage to his favourite Yash uncle (Yash Chopra), who passed away in 2012.
