Alia Bhatt shares Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's elevator pitch, talks about Mission Start Ab

Alia Bhatt is not just a successful actor in Bollywood but is also one of the most promising entrepreneurs in the country. In November 2020, she launched her own startup venture in the kidswear category called Ed-a-mamma.

Since then, she has been on cloud nine as her entrepreneurial journey is earning profits. Today, the 30-year-old beauty arrived in the capital city to promote an upcoming reality show, Mission Start Ab. Speaking with the team of Amazon Prime Video India, Alia Bhatt elaborated on why she feels so connected towards the show which aims at promoting startups in India.

Alia Bhatt said, “One of the things, I feel, is fabulous about a show like Mission Start Ab, especially with (Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India) Ajay Kumar Sood sir’s contribution and support, is having a mentor lead the way (in the show).”

“I strongly feel that one should believe in his/her dream. Do not be afraid of failing. But that’s very easy to say when you are not putting in your own money. On the other hand, when there is money on the table, you are afraid of failing. Sometimes, the process takes time. But eventually, you have to see it through. And that is where a mentor’s need is important,” said Alia confidently.

Alia Bhatt even revealed the elevator pitch of her upcoming movie, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

“I, myself, also often second-guess in situations. I also sometimes feel that I know nothing about business, numbers, and people throw terminologies at me and they make no sense to me. Then, I also ask entrepreneurs to explain it (the concept of the project) to me in an elevator pitch. For example, if you ask me to tell me about Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in an elevator pitch and if I take 65 minutes to explain it to you, you can be like I would rather go and watch the film. But if I tell you that it is a film about two families and two cultures, and the film is not just about two people loving each other... (crowd clapping)... then, cool! I’ll know whether I want to buy the ticket or not,” shares Alia Bhatt smilingly.

Alia wraps up by saying, “Usually, people in top businesses do not have time. So, if you have confidence in your brand and if someone like a mentor gives that confidence in you, then things will work out your way.”

The seven-episode reality series, Mission Start Ab, will see 10 start-ups who will compete against each other. The show will be aired on Amazon Prime Video soon.
