Alia Bhatt weeps after watching Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway trailer, Karan Johar calls it Rani Mukerji’s best performance till date

Rani Mukerji starrer Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is the upcoming biographical drama film, which is directed by Ashima Chibber. Based on a real-life story of a mother, who struggles and fights against the whole nation to protect her children. Fans call the actor an OG queen, while celebs like Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar can't stop raving about her.

The trailer showcases how the traditional style upbringing of an Indian mother seems like negligence to the Norwegian Authority, which is why they take away the custody of the two little kids from her and her husband, while she leaves no stone unturned and fights against the whole nation to win the custody of her children back in a foreign land.

Alia Bhatt shared the trailer video of the movie on her IG story and revealed that she is weeping after watching it.

Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor also shared the video on his Instagram story and wished the makers the best. The note says, "And here we have the true story of an immigrant Indian mother's battle against the foster care system Shaken to the core by the sheer emotional strength of this trailer and story Eagerly awaiting #MrsChatterjeeVsNorway Love and luck to the entire team for this one (sic)."

Karan Johar also took the trailer to social media and shared the video on his official Instagram handle with a huge caption. In his special note, KJo praised Rani and called it a privilege to watch the film, he also mentioned that this is her best performance till date. A small part of the caption reads, "To say that she is absolutely outstanding is still not completely describing her portrayal of an anguished and distraught mother …. I don’t think there is a single parent in this world that will not be hugely affected and then vindicated in the viewing of this brilliant film… bravo to @emmayentertainment for producing their best and bravest film so far (sic)."

Backed by Emmay Entertainment, the biographical drama movie is written by Sameer Satija, Ashima Chibber and Rahul Handa.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, which also has Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh and Neena Gupta, is slated to have a theatrical release on March 17.
