The Hollywood actor Peter White, who is best known for playing the character Linc Tyler on ABC's hit soap opera All My Children, passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles. His death reports were confirmed by his All My Children castmate.

White had appeared in the soap opera for over four decades, which premiered in the 1970s. He also starred in The Boys in the Band stage production and film adaptation.

According to Hollywood Reporter, White's All My Children co-actor Kathleen Noone (who played the role of Ellen Shepherd Dalton on the show) allegedly revealed the death cause as melanoma, a type of cancer.

Peter White's career

Before landing his breakthrough role as Linc Tyler, Peter White kicked off his acting career by appearing in the popular off-Broadway play The Boys in the Band. The acclaimed actor had portrayed Alan McCarthy in the theatrical play, which centered around a group of gay men and their lives.

The stalwart even appeared in several films apart from soap operas and theatre. It includes The Pursuit of Happiness, Blade

Diary of a Hitman, Dave, Mr. Wong, Mother, and Thirteen Days from 1990s to 2000s.
