Actor Sivakarthikeyan on Saturday visited Hyderabad to promote his upcoming movie Maaveeran. The film will also simulations release in Telugu as Mahaveerudu. At the event, Sivakarthikeyan tried to speak in Telugu and he managed to learn from his co-star Saritha. Even though he struggled, he managed to say what he wanted to say.

Sivakarthikeyan's speech was full of gratitude for the members of the Telugu film fraternity, including Adivi Sesh, Sekhar Kammula and Anudeep Kv. He promised that the audience will have a "wonderful experience" in cinemas watching Mahaveerudu. He enjoys a notable following in the Telugu states. His earlier films, Remo, Varun Doctor and College Don performed considerably well at the box office. And Mahaveerudu will mark the biggest release so far in Sivakarthikeyan's career in terms of screen count in the Telugu states.

Before ending the speech, Sivakarthikeyan enthralled the Telugu audience by impersonating Allu Arjun's Pushpa masters. Sivakarthikeyan did the iconic beard twirl while mouthing Pushpa's go-to punchline: "Thaggede Le." Sivakarthikeyan's accuracy in mimicking Pushpa's mannerism received wide applause at the event and is also winning hearts on social media.

Maaveeran is said to be a superhero movie. While the trailer didn't reveal Sivakarthikeyan's superhero avatar, it suggests some sort of divine intervention from the skies that awakens the superhero in the protagonist. In the movie, Sivakarthikeyan plays a cartoonist, who is extremely afraid of everything. And the film seems to trace how the hero overcomes his faint-heartedness and emerges as a 'great warrior'. Written and directed by Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame, the film also stars Aditi Shankar as the female lead.

The film also stars Mysskin as the main antagonist. And it's due to arrive in cinemas on July 14.
