Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat: Vicky Kaushal to play DJ Mohabbat in Anurag Kashyap directorial

Anurag Kashyap-directed upcoming romance-drama film stars Karan Mehta and Alaya F and the leading pair. Meanwhile, the filmmaker has just unveiled that Vicky Kaushal is also in his latest directorial playing a pivotal character.

Meanwhile, Vicky also shared the joyous news on his official Instagram handle with the latest moving poster and an exciting caption that reads, "My mohabbat for the man who opened my first door to the movies… DJ Sandz of Manmarziyaan grows up to become DJ Mohabbat! #IAmDJMohabbat #AlmostPyaarWithDjMohabbat releasing Feb 3rd. @anuragkashyap10 (sic)."

Alaya portrays the character of a schoolgirl in the upcoming romantic drama flick, which has already premiered at Marrakech Film Festival. Meanwhile, Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat also talks about homophobia among other important issues.

In an interview with ANI, Kashyap shared that how he likes to explore the relationships of this generation as they are the future. He also mentioned that it is close to his heart and it deals with multiple types of prejudices that plague the society and love among the people.

The director shared in an official statement that the latest film is inspired by a conversation with his daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap.

Amit Trivedi is the composer of the film, which marks his second collaboration with the Sacred Games director. Backed by Zee Studios, Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat is slated to have a theatrical release on February 3, 2023
