Mohanlal is on a roll and unstoppable like always. As the actor's latest film, Monster, has finally hit the screens today, he has unveiled the teaser of his forthcoming flick, Alone. The Complete Actor wears a clear face mask in the Shaji Kailas movie, which makes it seem like he might be in quarantine. Yes, as the title suggests, Mohanlal is completely alone in the film and we can only hear the voices of the other characters.
The teaser also shows the actor passing the time at his house while being cut off from the world. When one of the characters asks Kalidasan (Mohanlal) if he is from a cyber cell, he refutes it and says, "Department of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, United Nations, Geneva."
It is being reported that Shaji Kailas, the director of Alone, says that Mohanlal suggested making a small film during the COVID-19 outbreak in India to help the film industry workers who were out of work at the time. Producer Antony Perumbavoor called Kailas for story ideas after hearing about his plan, and the director presented a one-man movie about a man named Kalidas who is stuck in Kerala during the pandemic while travelling from Coimbatore. Kailas started working on the project after starting the Kaduva filming, and it was shot in between the schedules.
An interesting fact is that Mohanlal completed the shoot of the film within 20 days. The tagline of the film is "Real heroes are always alone."
Earlier, during an exclusive interaction with OTTplay, when the legendary actor was asked about Alone, he had said that he found the story fascinating when he first heard it. There aren't many actors in it. Since it's only him, they decided to make the movie themselves and take the chance.
The makers of Alone have not announced the release date of the film yet.
