It is a dream-come-true moment for Suman Ghosh and Sudipta Chakraborty. The Scavenger of Dreams has been selected for the Busan Film Festival. Directed by Suman Ghosh, the Hindi language film features Sudipta Chakraborty and Shardul Bhardwaj. The actress joyfully shared the news.

The Busan International Film Festival started its journey 26 years ago. The festival will start on October 4 and go on till October 13. Five Indian films will have their world premiers in the festival. Besides The Scavenger of Dreams, Agra by Kanu Behl, Joram by Devashish Makhija, and Guras by Saurav Rai are among the selections at India’s Film Bazaar Recommends (FBR) strand – a part of Film Bazaar, the South Asia film project market operated by India’s National Film Development Corporation. Meanwhile, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani will be screened in the Open Cinema section at the festival.

Sudipta wrote, “This is BIG !!! Thrilled to share that our Hindi feature film The Scavenger of Dreams has been selected to have its World Premier at the @busanfilmfest.” She congratulated Shardul Bhardwaj, Suman Ghosh, and the film's entire team. Sudipta and Shardul play a poor couple, who spend their days scavenging. But they have a dream of doing good for their child. The film tells the story of that dream.

Meanwhile, Suman Ghosh is busy shooting Kabuliwala with Mithun Chakraborty. The director will soon start working with Sharmila Tagore, Rituparna Sengupta and Indraneil Sengupta in his next, Puratawn.
