In SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, which is a fictional story, the duo essayed the role of real life Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raj and Komaram Bheem. The duo, both of them tribal leaders, had played an important role in the Indian independence movement.

The film also features Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Saran in pivotal roles. D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments has bankrolled the film. Rajamouli had also written the film’s script along with K. V. Vijayendra Prasad.

The film is witnessing a phenomenal run at the box office, creating a record collection of Rs. 223 crore worldwide on its opening day. It has beaten Baahubali: The Conclusion’s opening day record. RRR also became the first Indian film to cross the 5 million mark at the US box office as well.

RRR, which was released on March 25, will be available to stream on Netflix and Zee5 sometime in June, after its theatrical run. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
