Actor Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen in the upcoming Tamil film titled Amaran. The film is scheduled to release on October 31 for the occasion of Diwali, in theatres. On Wednesday, the makers released a glimpse from the film, giving us a peak into the world of Amaran.
The makers of Amaran released a glimpse of the film and its making on social media on Wednesday. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, the film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. For those who do not know, Amaran is a biopic of Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his operation with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion.
The two-minute-long glimpse shows shot of Kashmir's residential areas, its people, and their daily lives, accompanied by mellow music. We see children, adults and families go about in their way, when a sudden blast takes place. Behind-the-scenes of the shooting is shown, as we see the aftermath of the blast and how the team is shooting. Sivakarthikeyan's portions are also shown.

Amaran is set to hit theatres on October 31 for Diwali. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The shooting for Amaran has been wrapped up. The film stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead, along with actors Rahul Bose and Lallu in significant roles. Their roles have been kept under wraps. Rumours suggest that there is a key cameo by Kamal Haasan. But an official confirmation is awaited.

The film is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. Amaran will mark Sivakarthikeyan’s first biopic in his career. The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix. The technical crew consists of cinematography by Ch Sai, with R Kalaivanan as the editor. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music for the film.
