There’s news for Modern Love series fans. Streaming portal Amazon Prime has announced that the series will now have a Tamil version, too. The announcement of Modern Love Chennai was made at a glitzy event today in Mumbai along with a sneak peek of the show.

The star cast for the Tamil version includes Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Kishore, Ramya Nambeesan, Vijayalakshmi, TJ Banu, Gouri Reddy, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Vasudevan Murali, Chu Khoy Sheng and Sanjula S. And the series will be helmed by directors Bharathi Raja, Balaji Sakthivel, Raju Murugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar and Akshay Sundher.

In the meantime, the streaming portal also took to its social media handle to give the deets. The post read, “ModernLoveOnPrime: continuing with the stories of love, the stories of life, next we bring you Chennai💙#PrimeVideoPresentsIndia #SeeWhereItTakesYou.

This apart, Amazon has also announced a few other projects in Tamil. This includes Suzhal and Vadhandhi, for which Pushkar and Gayathri are creative producers, along with Sweet Kaaram Coffee, which revolves around three generations of women from the same family who set off on an epic road trip. While Vadandhi is a noir thriller about the murder of a young woman, an obsessed cop, a novelist and an opportunistic news editor; Suzhal delves into an investigation into a simple missing person’s case that disturbs the status quo of a village. Prime has also announced a show titled The Village based on a graphic novel, which will be directed by Milind Rau and will have Arya playing the lead.
