Amazon Prime Video renews Dom for second season

The hit Brazilian show stars Gabriel Leone and Flavio Tolezani in pivotal roles

Following the immense success of Amazon Prime Video’s Brazilian series Dom, the OTT giant has recently announced the second season of the crime-thriller series.

Confirming the same, the Head of Brazil Originals for Amazon Studios, Malu Miranda said in a statement that the appreciation the series has gained in Brazil and around the world is overwhelming and so the team is happy to announce the second season.

“It's a pleasure to work with people as talented as Breno Silveira and the entire cast and crew involved in this amazing production, and this announcement reinforces Prime Video’s commitment to bringing customers quality and diverse local content,” added Miranda

The season of the show follows Victor, who becomes a military intelligence agent after working as a driver and decides to fight against drugs. However, his son, Pedro turns an addict and later becomes a crime lord of Rio de Janeiro. According to a statement by Amazon, Dom 2 will follow the life of Pedro Dom as one of the most famous criminals in Rio.

The show stars Gabriel Leone, Flavio Tolezani, Filipe Bragança, Raquel Villar, Isabella Santoni and Ramon Francisco among others. Dom can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
