Amazon Prime Video’s Andhera stars THIS social media influencer, along with Surveen Chawla and Karanvir Malhotra

Amazon Prime Video has announced their new project titled Andhera, an urban horror tale in which a police officer and a haunted medical student are on a quest to stop the spread of darkness and evil. Starring Prajakta Koli, Karanvir Malhotra, Surveen Chawla, and Vatsal Sheth, among others, the horror drama series promises to keep audiences hooked on their screens.

Sharing an image of the evil monster on Amazon Prime Video’s official Instagram handle, the makers captioned the post, “In the shadow of Mumbai’s shimmering skyline, a sinister force hunts the living. In this visceral tale of urban horror, a fearless cop and a haunted medical student must take on this living darkness to avert impending doom...”

According to reports, Andhera was earlier titled Unseen and is filled with jump-scary moments and thrills.

Prajakta is popular on social media. She recently spoke about her acting journey and the perception that people have about influencers bagging acting projects because of their followers. “If people think that influencers are getting roles because of their followers, then I would have cracked every audition that I have given till date… Clearly, I haven’t. There is no truth in this perception,” she told the Hindustan Times.

Apart from her, Andhera boasts an ensemble cast that includes Priya Bapat, Karanvir Malhotra, Surveen Chawla, Vatsal Sheth, Parvin Dabas, and Pranay Pachauri. Directed by Raaghav Dar, it is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment, along with Kassim Jagmagia, Mohit Shah, Karan Anshuman. The series is co-written by Raaghav Dar, along with Gaurav Desai, Karan Anshuman, Chintan Sarda, Akshat Ghildial, and Karmanya Ahuja.

Excel Entertainment has carved a niche for itself in the world of OTT since its creation of a web series titled Inside Edge, a sports drama series starring Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Angad Bedi, Tanuj Virani, and Sayani Gupta. Other popular series produced by Excel Entertainment are Mirzapur, Made in Heaven and Fukrey Boyss.
