Amazon Prime Video’s Suzhal- The Vortex gets praise from Dhanush, Vidya Balan, Samantha and more

One of Amazon Prime Video’s most-awaited series, Suzhal- The Vortex, finally began streaming on June 17 and since then, it has become the talk of the town. Suzhal: The Vortex is created by Pushkar and Gayatri, who are known for movies like Vikram Vedha and Oram-Po. They are venturing into the streaming space for the first time with long-format series. Directed by Bramma and Anucharan M, the series stars Sriya Reddy, Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh and Parthiban in the lead. The series is getting praise from many. Taking to their social media, many celebrities praised Suzhal - The Vortex. 

The Gray Man star Dhanush called it an amazing crime thriller. “ An amazing crime thriller! #Suzhal is a series that will keep you hooked throughout! Congratulations to the team (sic)”

Samantha wrote that she had always been a fan of Pushkar and Gayatri. “Always been a fan of @pushkar.gayatri’s work. Looking forward to binge-watch #Suzhal this weekend. The trailer looked exciting and I am sure the entire series will be even more thrilling. Wishing the entire team of Suzhal lots of love & luck :) (sic)”

Music composer Anirudh wrote “ What a watch Suzhal has been, my brother @samcsmusic the title track is on fire!(sic)”

Vidya Balan was all praise for the series and Sriya Reddy’s performance in it as Inspector Regina Thomas. She said “True to its name ‘the vortex’, this crime thriller keeps pulling me in deeper with each episode. @sriya_reddy as Regina is the most fearless thing you’re gonna see in a while🔥 strongly recommend Suzhal(sic)”

Director Hansal Mehta shared “ there is something about Suzhal that keeps you wanting more until you get closure. Intricately written and well-detailed characters, a gripping narrative, and a pulsating thriller is #Suzhal(sic)”” 

Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap says “The ever-dependable and trustworthy @pushkar.gayatri have done it again. Armed with two new directors, Suzhal is an exceptionally written, shot , brilliant most original series. A total masterpiece”(sic)”. 

Taking to his social media, Vikrant Massey wrote, “ Already on my 3rd episode and can’t stop watching. Loving @kathir_l as the dutiful police officer(sic)”.

Actress Bhumi Pednekar, too, has started watching the series. “Started Suzhal on @primevideoin today!(sic)”, she wrote.

Producer Guneet Monga added, “Suzhal is a powerful reminder of the evolution of breathtaking storytelling and filmmaking happening right now in India. (sic)” 

The series is currently streaming on Prime Video in over 30 languages across 240 countries and territories.
