The Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial is one of the most sensationalized events in the decade. The trial in Virginia began last April and concluded in June 2022, when the jury in the case held Heard and Depp liable for defamation in their lawsuits against each other. “Depp was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million dollars in punitive damages. The jury awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages and no money for punitive damages,” CNN reported.

In December last year, Heard announced that she and Depp had settled their defamation suit.

Recently, news reports claimed that the actress has decided to exit Hollywood and settle with her little child in Spain.

And now, fresh reports have surfaced which claim that Amber Heard will soon come out with a memoir detailing about the Johnny Depp drama. The 37-year-old actress - who is currently living in Madrid, Spain, with her two-year-old daughter Oonagh - “is seeking around $15 million for her story but is ready to speak out after being harassed online during last year's trial”, according to sources from RadarOnline.com.

The insider, as reported by IANS, said: "She won't be silenced. She feels she was treated very badly during the trial. She feels like she's the victim here."

For the unversed, actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met in 2009 while filming The Rum Diary. The celebrity couple got engaged in January 2014, and, in February 2015, they married in Bahamas. However, differences started propping up in their love life following which Heard filed for divorce on May 23, 2016.
