The series American Crime Stories that are based on real-life incidents like scandals, assassinations and undercover operations is coming up with the third season. The new season of the acclaimed FX series will release on OTTs.
What is the series about?
American Crime Story is an anthology series by FX networks that focuses on real-life crime incidents that shocked society at that time. The first season of the series focuses on the murder trial of the National Football League player and actor OJ Simpson, who murdered his wife’s friend during an altercation. The second season revolves around the assassination of Gianni Versace, an Italian fashion designer and founder of luxury-fashion house Versace, by the serial killer Andrew Cunanan.
The third series is about the appalling case of former American President Bill Clinton and White House intern Monica Lewinsky which took place between 1995-97. Their affair was later revealed by Lewinsky in 1998, after which Bill Clinton was impeached following perjury and contempt of court. The scandal was a shock to American society and made a serious cultural impact.
When and where to watch American Crime Story S3?
American Crime Story S3 will premiere on Disney+Hotstar after its original release on FX on September 8. The series will first premiere on television and according to their agreement, it will air the episodes on OTT, 24 hours after its television premiere. The series is set to be a five-episode mini-series. Clive Owen, known for his role as Dr John W. Thackery on the Cinemax medical drama series The Knick, will be playing the former president Bill Clinton, and Beanie Feldstein will play the White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
