Drawing inspiration from the highly regarded mythological epic Ramayana, the Indian film Adipurush has arrived at theatres globally. However, despite such a strong storyline, the makers of the film are facing a tumultuous time. Here is why.

Recently, a batch of cinema lovers who watched the film at the hall, claimed that the film should be banned by the censor board as it hurts the sentiments of people by showing the protagonists in a bad light. Many movie buffs even questioned the quality of the dialogues delivered by core actors on screen.

Some of the dialogues delivered by the actor essaying the role of Lord Hanuman are saying, ‘jalegi teri baap ki..’ to opponents residing in Lanka. This dialogue has not dwelled down by a huge chunk of social media users.

Not only this, but the film, which is touted to be the most expensive Indian film, is also facing severe backlash over it poor quality of visual effects.

Reacting to this public outrage against the film, the makers of Adipurush have issued a statement. "The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theatres in the next few days. This decision is a testament that despite unstoppable collections at the Box Office, the team is committed, and nothing is beyond the sentiments of their audiences and harmony at large," a statement issued by T-Series read.

The film's dialogue writer Manoj Munatshir Shukla also shared this update on this on his Twitter account. In his tweet, he also claimed that he was abused on social media over some of the film's dialogues. "I can give countless arguments in favour of my dialogues, but this will not reduce your pain. The producer-director of the film and I have decided that some of the dialogues which are hurting you, we'll revise them..." he tweeted in Hindi.

“We'll revise them, and they'll be added to the film this week. May Shri Ram bless you all!,” read Shukla’s tweet further.

Meanwhile, Adipurush has collected Rs 65 crore on day two of its release, across all languages in India.
