Amid reports on his wedding plans, Adrit Roy gears up for his film, Pagal Premi

Mithai, aka Soumitrisha Kundu, has already debuted on the big screen with none other than Dev in Pradhan. The film is running pretty successfully in theatres. Earlier, OTTplay reported that Mithai’s Uchhey Babu, aka Adrit Roy, is also gearing up to make a comeback on the big screen. The name of the film is Pagal Premi.

As per reports, Adrit is going through rigorous preparations for the film. In fact, reports suggested that the actor curated a special look for the film and that is the reason why he is not often seen in public.

Earlier, while talking to OTTplay, Adrit said, “It was important for me to take a break. After the long run of Mithai, I had to turn down the television offers. It was important for me to unlearn. In the current scenario of the Bengali film industry, it is important for the actors to take a break, take time, get rid of the previous character, and get back on track. Srikant sir (Mohta, producer) allowed me that time to unlearn before getting on a fresh job. How many producers would do that?”

According to a report, the film, which is produced by SVF, will feature a new actress opposite Adrit. The new actress, Munmun Roy, worked as a model before and this will be her debut on the big screen. 

Meanwhile, Adrit’s rumoured affair with Koushambi Chakraborty has been making headlines. The two might tie the knot this year.  

Adrit has worked on multiple films before. He worked in Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s Noor Jahaan, Raj Chakraborty’s Parineeta, and so on. In 2021, he became the male lead of Zee Bangla’s mega serial, Mithai. Along with Soumitrisha, he became a household name.
