Amid Succession season 3, HBO renews the hit series for the fourth season

The third season of Succession premiered just a week back and fans have just been keeping patience with every episode coming out on Monday. Now, as the third season is progressing, the makers have announced that the series has been renewed for the fourth season. The American black comedy show created by Jesse Armstrong is an HBO original and the first episode of the third season garnered 1.4 million viewers across HBO's various platforms.

For the uninitiated, Succession follows the lives of the Roy family who are contemplating their future once their aging father played by Brian Cox start to step back from the media and entertainment conglomerate they control. 

In the third season of the series, the members of the Roy family get into a vicious fight for the control of Waystar Royco. And this happens after Kendall played Jeremy Strong publicly stabs his CEO father, Logan in the back in an attempted coup.

Earlier during an interaction with Variety, Armstrong was asked how long is he planning to run the series Succession. To which the helmer stated, "I don't want to say. All I know is there's a promise in the Succession title, and it can't go on forever."

He also said that as a showrunner, it's important for him to have a pitch for his fellow collaborators, especially the writers.

Armstrong also said, "But it's not immutable. That's up for discussion. But I do have a pitch for how I think it goes."

Succession also stars Hiam Abbass, Nicholas Braun, Kieran Culkin, Peter Friedman, Natalie Gold, Matthew Macfadyen, Alan Ruck, Sarah Snook, Rob Yang, Dagmara Domińczyk, Arian Moayed, J Smith-Cameron, Justine Lupe, David Rasche and Fisher Stevens.

While Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Mark Mylod, Jane Tranter, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble and Will Tracy.
