Amit Sial is gearing up to step into the shoes of Brajesh Bhaan yet again as Jamtara makes its way to the silver screen yet again. The actor’s last onscreen role was that of a politician as well, when he played a pivotal character in the second season of Huma Qureshi’s series, Maharani. Sial recently opened up about how he made sure that he does not duplicate his performances when playing politicians on two separate shows.

In conversation with news agency IANS, Sial said that he found only one way to conquer the ‘dilemma’ of playing politicians on both Maharani and Jamtara. In order to do so, Sial had to stick to the ‘person’ of Jamtara’s Brajesh Bhaan and not just focus on the politician part of his personality. He said that it was the only way he could avoid every possibility of repeating an earlier act.

The actor went on to speak of how excited he was for the second season of Jamtara. Calling the show a product of the collective experience and amazing efforts of hundreds of people, Sial said that the show would soon make its way onto the silver screen to ‘shake it up’. He hoped that the new season would get the same kind of love and attention as the previous one.

Sial said that he felt it was his duty to audiences to keep on evolving, both as an actor and as a person. He spoke of how audiences gave him the strength to never let go of his devotion to his craft. “I really want to entertain them to their core. Being the best doesn't interest you, becoming better does”, he concluded.

Jamtara season 2, which also starsSparsh Srivastav, Monika Panwar, Anshumaan Pushkar, Seema Pahwa and Aatm Prakash Mishra, will premiere on Netflix on September 23.
