Amitabh Bachchan expresses gratitude to fans who wished him and Jaya Bachchan on their 50th anniversary

It was just about yesterday when popular veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. To make the day even more special, their daughter Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter Navya penned notes which are too adorable to miss.

Taking to Instagram, Shweta also shared a throwback photo in which Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan looked at each other. Throughout the day, several celebrities across the globe dropped their heartfelt wishes to the ‘it’ couple.

And now, in a fresh development, 80-year-old Amitabh Bachchan has thanked his fans and well-wishers for their blessings. Writing a blog on it, Amitabh Bachchan said, “My deepest gratitude for all that have wished Jaya and me for our 50th Anniversary... your love and care is what gives us the most happiness. At work now...Later...”

In the message dropped by Big B, he also mentions that fact that he resumed his work just a day after the celebrations.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in Nag Ashwin’s Project K. In the film, Bachchan will play a lead role alongside actors Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Nowadays, the popular actor is working on the sets of the upcoming Television reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati. With this project in the pipeline, it is evident that the fact – Age is just a number – is apt for his personality.

Amitabh Bachchan has been married to veteran actress and politician Jaya Bhaduri since June 3, 1973, when he was 30 years old, and together they have two children; Abhishek Bachchan, an actor, and Shweta, an author and former model. Abhishek married popular actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and they have a daughter named Aaradhya. Shweta is married to businessman Nikhil Nanda who is a part of the Kapoor family of actors. They have a daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, and a son, Agastya Nanda.

Amitabh and Jaya have shared screen space in over a dozen Bollywood films to date.
