A rumour that Salman Khan is hosting the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 17 made headlines not too long ago. Now, director Arun Sheshkumar has put all speculation to rest after he confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan would still continue hosting the show. Yes, Salman Khan replacing him is just a rumour. Amitabh Bachchan continues hosting KBC 17

"Whatever you have heard about Salman replacing Mr. Bachchan is completely incorrect," Sheshkumar told Mid-Day, adding, "Mr. Bachchan is hosting the 17th season of KBC. It's the 25th year of the show, and we are putting in efforts to make it grander."

When will KBC 17 release?

KBC 17 registration questions were out till some time back. The show, however, a source reaffirms, would be out in August. The set date, according to this birdie, is August 12. Big B is expected to start shooting for the TV show from mid-July.

Will Salman Khan be back as a host for any TV show this year?

The biggest question on people's mind now is whether Salman Khan would return as a host this year. The answer is, nobody has a clue at this point. There's major uncertainty regarding Bigg Boss for this year. Once the sponsors backed out, there are talks about the show switching channels but there's just no assurety on whether and when would that happen. Thus, whether Bigg Boss 19 or Bigg Boss OTT 4 would go on floors this year and whether we can see Salman back on either of the shows remains a big question at this given point. Needless to say, he is not a part of KBC yet, mainly because senior Bachchan has already associated himself with the season and the makers have grand plans this time around. It however looks like he might have other surprises, though.
