Ramayana has become one of the Indian film industry's most talked-about works in recent years. Nitesh Tiwari will be directing the trilogy. The project has been in preparation for some time now. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, will begin filming in the first quarter of 2024.

Following speculations that Sunny Deol was approached for Nitesh Tiwari's film, there have been reports that Agastya, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, rejected a key role in the movie. According to rumors, the Starkid turned down the part of Laxman.

Here's why Agastya Nanda turned down Ramayana!

At this point in his career, Agastya Nanda didn't want to play "second fiddle" to another actor, according to sources by India TV.

According to additional reports, Agastya is busy right now because he just finished his first movie, The Archies. It's his debut film, directed by Zoya Akhtar which will be released in December on Netflix. Apart from that, his preparation for Ekkis with Sriram Raghavan will shortly begin.

It was previously reported that Sunny Deol had been contacted to take on a significant part in the Ramayana, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. The Gadar 2 star has reportedly been given the role of Lord Hanuman, and talks are only getting started, according to the source.

About Ramayana and the shooting schedule of Ranbir, Sai, and Yash

In the Ramayana, Sai Pallavi will play Sita Ma opposite Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. On the other side, Yash has joined the cast to play the ten-headed Ravana. According to the reports, Ranbir and Sai will begin filming for the film sometime in February 2024. Additional focus will be given to Lord Ram and Sita in the initial installment of the trilogy, which will eventually lead to the Sita-Haran conflict. The two will begin filming in February 2024 and continue through August 2024 before wrapping up Ramayana: Part One. Yash, who plays Ravana in the movie, will begin filming his scenes around July 2024.
