Ammy Virk, Sonam Bajwa starrer Puaada set for a theatrical release on August 12

Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa are back in business! The successful on-screen jodi is coming back after 2019.

Actors Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, last seen in Nikka Zaildar 3, are awaiting the release of their movie Puaada (translated: Panga). The film is slated to release in theatres during the Independence Day weekend this year i.e. on August 12.

Rupinder Chahal makes his directorial debut with the rom-com. Puaada was to be released in the first half of 2021 but had to be postponed owing to the COVID-19 situation in India. Now that the conditions have improved, the makers have decided to go ahead and release the movies in theatres.

The film's trailer was released on March 13, days after the first song of the film, Aye Haye Jattiye, was unveiled. They were both widely appreciated by the audiences, especially the fans of the lead actors, who were excited to see the duo back on screen.

The two worked together in Nikka Zaildar, which became a superhit in Punjab. They later collaborated for Nikka Zaildar 2, 3 and Muklawa.

Post its theatrical release, Puaada is likely to release on ZEE5, given it is distributed by Zee Studios. A&A Pictures and Brat Films, who had presented Diljit Dosanjh-Neeru Bajwa’s Shadaa, are presenting the film.

Produced by Atul Bhalla, Pawan Gill, Anurag Singh, Aman Gill, Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film also stars Anita Devgan, Hardeep Gill, Seema Kaushal, Sukhwinder Chahal, Nisha Bano, Gurpreet Bhangu, Prakash Gadhu, Honey Mattu, Mintu Kapa and Sukhwinder Raj in pivotal roles.
