Anaganaga director Sunny Sanjay signs three films with top Tollywood banners | Exclusive

Anaganaga is a smash hit on OTT, with over 200 million views online. The response has been so overwhelming that the Sumanth-starrer is now set to release in theatres on May 27, 2025. On the other hand, Anaganaga has given both the actors and the director a new lease of life. The film’s female lead, Kajal Choudhary, has already bagged three back-to-back Telugu film projects.

Anaganaga director bags multiple films

But the biggest breakthrough is for director Sunny Sanjay. We’ve exclusively learned that three top banners — Mythri Movie Makers, Sithara Entertainments, and ETV Win, have signed him for big-budget films.

First in line is another ETV Win original with a popular star, for which Sunny has already locked the script. Once that project wraps, he will move on to a fun film with DJ Tillu fame Sithara Entertainments.

There’s also news that Sunny Sanjay has been paid handsomely to helm these projects. Telugu film producers are quick to recognize emerging talent and secure them for future ventures — and Sunny is no exception.

Once Anaganaga hits theatres, Sunny is expected to gain even more recognition for his work. Meanwhile, Malli Raava star Sumanth has signed two more films and has already completed shooting for one of them.

Anaganaga is a family drama centered around a schoolteacher who challenges the traditional education system by introducing concept-based learning. However, his efforts are met with resistance from his wife, who is also the school’s principal. A powerful twist in the second half, executed brilliantly by Sunny Sanjay, is one of the film's standout moments and a key reason he’s now in high demand.
