Anaganaga Oka Raju locks release date: Here's when the Naveen Polishetty starrer will hit the screens

Naveen Polishetty is one of the most bankable stars in Telugu cinema and was last seen in Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty, which ended as a big hit at the box office. He started a film titled Anaganaga Oka Raju, directed by Kalyan Shankar. However, the film was halted due to some financial issues. Now, the comedy caper is back on track and has locked its release date.

The makers have revealed that Anaganaga Oka Raju will be released on January 14, 2026, as a Sankranthi special, through a new poster. Meenakshi Choudhary plays the female lead in the film and has already started shooting.

Anaganaga Oka Raju is backed by Sithara Entertainments of DJ Tillu fame and Fortune Four Cinemas, while Srikara Studios is presenting the film. A special aspect of Anaganaga Oka Raju is that Naveen Polishetty himself has penned the story and screenplay.

This announcement has added heat to the Sankranthi 2026 race, as Chiranjeevi’s film with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam fame Anil Ravipudi is also set to release on the same date. On the other hand, Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is also slated for Sankranthi 2026.

This is a bold move from Naveen Polishetty, as taking on such big stars is no small feat. But in the past, small films like HanuMan came out of nowhere and dominated Sankranthi 2024.
