The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Ananthan Kaadu, have dropped its first poster. It has revealed the movie's title as well as given a glimpse into the lead characters.
The title of the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual film, Ananthan Kaadu, was confirmed by the poster. Together with other actors including Mohanlal, the film's cast and crew revealed the first look. A captivating socio-political action thriller was hinted at by the poster's tagline, "To the jungles within..." A trailer and other details regarding the release date are expected in the following days. It is evident from the poster that the story revolves around Arya's character's struggle in a complex political situation.
In addition to Santhi Balakrishnan, Nikhila Vimal, Saritha Kuku, Indrans, Renji Panicker, and Siddique in supporting parts, the film's main actors are Arya and Murali Gopy. An important part of this film is also played by Telugu actor Sunil, who made his Malayalam debut last year with Mammootty's Turbo. Kantara-fame Kannada actor Achyuth Kumar is also appearing in this thriller, which is expected to hit the big screen soon.
It's been a while since Arya worked on a Malayalam project. His most recent roles were that of a police officer in The Great Father and a supporting part in Double Barrel by Lijo Jose Pellissery.
Jiyen Krishnakumar is the director of the movie. Following Tiyaan, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and available for streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium, this is the second movie in which Jiyen and Murali collaborated. The screenplay for this film was also written by Murali Gopy. The movie is being financed by Mini Studio's Vinod Kumar. Palani Bharathi and Murali Gopy wrote the lyrics, and B Ajaneesh Loknath composed the music for this project. Last year, the director posted images of Ananthan Kaadu's puja ceremony on social media. The event took place at Mangalanathaswamy Shiva Temple in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.
