After making headlines last week for being spotted with The Night Manager star Aditya Roy Kapur in Portugal, actress Ananya Panday is now back in town, and recently walked the runway for designer Rimzim Dadu at India Couture Week 2023. A fashionista herself, Ananya claimed that she looks up to Karisma Kapoor for style inspiration and has her picture stuck on her vanity van’s mirror wall.
The Gehraiyaan actress revealed that she has grown up watching Karisma Kapoor’s films and that she has a picture of Karisma stuck on her vanity van's mirror wall. “I just love her fashion. She always has fun with it and sets trends. She has been a huge inspiration," the actress told PTI.
Talking about Rimzim’s design, the actor said that she loves how original the designer is and that she loves the risk that Dadu takes with structure, fluidity, light, and shadow.
The actress walked the runway in a resplendent golden ensemble, leaving the audience stunned. Her attire featured a golden slit skirt paired elegantly with a matching blouse adorned in delicate mesh and lace.
Talking about her personal style choices, Ananya said that she does not take fashion too seriously in real life but as an actor, the costumes help her to connect with the characters better.
Rimzim's latest couture spectacle paid a graceful homage to the essence of water - its fluidity, vigour and boundless adaptability. The collection's manifesto revealed an evocative fusion of time-honored Indian artistry and fabrics, ingeniously reinvented for the modern era.
On the work front, Ananaya will feature next in Raaj Shaandilyaa’s Dream Girl 2, alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The film will hit the theaters on August 25. Ananya also has Farhan Akhtar’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Vikramaditya Motwane’s thriller film Control in her kitty.
