Ananya Panday has quit working on Maddock Films' next, Choomantar. The actress took the decision owing to a scheduling conflict with Call Me Bae season 2, reports Mid-Day. The makers had to thus rope in a new cast in place for the Abhay Verma starrer. Here's everything we know so far...

A source confirmed the news to the portal and shared, "The team of Choomantar is aiming to begin filming in January 2026. That clashes with Call Me Bae 2, which recently went on floors. So, Ananya and the makers of Choomantar decided to part ways, with the promise of working soon."

After Ananya Panday walking out of Choomantar, a new cast has been put into place. Although Munjya's lead actor Abhay Verma is still associated with the movie, fresher faces now join the project. Sreeleela and Janki Bodiwala are now a part of the movie.
Confirming the same, the little birdie shared, "A mock shoot with the trio happened last week. The fantasy romantic drama has been in preparation for several months, and workshops are likely to begin next week."
Sreeleela and Janki Bodiwala are comparatively newer faces in Bollywood. Sreeleela, known for her roles in the South Indian film industry, is gearing up for her big Bollywood launch opposite Kartik Aaryan. She is going to be seen in what is touted to be a remade version of Aashiqui 3.
On the other hand, Janki Bodiwala made her breakthrough in Hindi cinema with Ajay Devgn-R. Madhavan's Shaitaan after her Gujarati film Vash became a superhit. The actress was last seen in Vash: Level 2, which received just as much love.
