And that’s a wrap: Kajal Aggarwal wraps up shooting for Uma

Kajal Aggarwal has finished shooting for her upcoming film Uma, and she took to her Instagram account to announce the same. The actress also provided a glimpse into the film with an 18-second teaser which she had posted from her social media account. She also went on to add that she had a great experience working for the project and was all praise for the film’s director, producer, artists and technicians. Kajal further added that she will cherish the learnings from the project for a long time, and that the experience will leave her with a ‘beautiful’ hangover.

Uma had started its production in July. The schedule followed a start-to-finish shoot, and was shot entirely in Kolkata. The film, according to sources, is billed as a family drama, and is set against the backdrop of a wedding in a wealthy family. The titular character is a stranger, whose arrival sets in motion the events of the movie.

Kajal had two releases in 2021, the Jeffery Gee Chin-directed thriller Mosagallu, which came out in March and the Hindi-language film Mumbai Saga. In addition to Uma, the actress also has the much-awaited Acharya, in which she will be seen sharing screen space with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan again. She will also be seen along with Kamal Hassan and Rakul Preet Singh in Shankar’s upcoming magnum opus, Indian 2.

Along with Aggarwal, Uma will feature Tinnu Anand, Gaurav Sharma, Harsh Chhaya, Meghana Malik, Shriswara and Ayoshi Talukdar as well. Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal are on board as producers of the film.
