Rogue One became a massive hit when it was released in 2016, and it came as a surprise to everyone. Among the many positives of the movie, was the character of Cassian Andor.

Now as a Star Wars show dedicated to the pilot and leader of the Rogue One is in the making in Disney, Stellan Skarsgård has revealed the intense secrecy and security measures surrounding the show’s script.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Skarsgård said, “I don't know what to say because they are very secretive and you have to sign so many papers and to get the script you have to have a sort of double verification and you still can't read it.”

The actor added that it is a very childish world to enter that way, but he was happy to do it as the writing was really good and that Diego Luna, who portrays Andor, is an old friend.

The intense security measures behind protecting the script are understandable, after the incident where John Boyega lost the script for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It ended up on eBay but was recovered by Disney before any information was leaked further.

Following the success of The Mandalorian, Disney has a number of Star Wars content on the way and Andor is one among them. The story will take place five years before the events of Rogue One and will follow Cassian Andor across galaxies far far away.

The 12-episode series, also starring Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Genevieve O'Reilly, will be released sometime in 2022.
