Anees Bazmee finally reacts to his exit from Hera Pheri 3: No script, no hit

Hera Pheri, the immensely popular franchise of Bollywood, is currently on its third installment. Prior to its announcement, Hera Pheri 3 featured Paresh Rawal, Abhishek Bachchan, and John Abraham; however, John and Jr. Bachchan pulled out for reasons that are best known to them. The OG three of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh are back and have apparently already started filming the third chapter, according to the most recent update. Farhad Samji has benefited from Anees Bazmee's loss, making headlines more frequently than the movie's actors.

Rumors have been circulating that the director of Bhool Bhualiyaa 2 will likely helm the third installment ever since the third installment started making waves. However, the latest reports suggest others wise.

Fans were surprised to learn that Farhad Samji will be directing Hera Pheri 3 when it suddenly leaked online. Anees Bazmee has now spoken out about leaving the project, even though many people are unaware of what happened behind the scenes. The BB 2 director claimed in a recent interview that Akshay Kumar was also unwilling to take part in the movie without a script, however he is unsure of what transpired and how Kumar ended up joining the project.

Anees Bazmee revealed in an interview with Bollywood Hungama's Subhash K. Jha that he had multiple meetings with producer Firoz Nadiadwala but the latter didn’t have much of a story let alone a script. “Unhone jo mujhe idea bataya woh kuch jammee nahin. Maina na keh diya,” said the filmmaker. Adding “No script no hit. It’s as simple as that.”

The film is likely to be titled as Hera Pheri 4. Anees Bazmee further revealed, “After I declined the offer, I now hear the film is going to be directed by someone else (Farhad Samji). Akshay Kumar who was totally opposed to doing the film without a proper script has apparently agreed to come on board. I don’t know how or why. Only he will be able to tell. Speaking for myself, I am not part of that project anymore.”

Anees Bazmee was questioned about whether he refused to join the movie because Firoz Nadiadwala owed him money for the last movie they did together. “Yes, that too. But if I had liked the story idea I would have probably gone head. Lekin aisa kuch tha hi nahin,” he concluded.
