Anees Bazmee ropes in Varun Dhawan for 5 Minute Ka Superhero

Anees Bazmee last delivered the blockbuster film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu. The film was a box office success and has been loved by the critics as well as the audience. Now, earlier this year, the filmmaker revealed that he is working on an original comedy alongside Vishal Rana and Zee Studios. It was soon then known that the movie is a superhero comedy with the working title of '5 Minute Ka Superhero'. The most recent rumour is that Anees Bazmee discussed the film with Varun Dhawan and he liked it.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "5 Minute Ka Superhero is a unique superhero comedy wherein the lead character loses all his superpowers in a span of 5 minutes. It is among the dream projects for Anees Bazmee and he wishes to make his most ambitious project to date with Varun Dhawan." 

Even Varun has expressed a strong desire to play the eccentric superhero of Anees Bazmee. The movie will have a 2024 theatrical release and is scheduled to begin production before the end of the current year. Additionally, the source revealed that Varun hasn't committed yet, but he likes the zany superhero movie concept. With 5 Minute Ka Superhero, Anees Bazmee is confident in establishing a new subgenre of comedy is what the source added. 

Although there is still work to be done on the documentation and other fronts, the conversations are very far along. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan was last seen in Dinesh Vijan production Bhediya alongside Kriti Sanon. The movie did not do very well at the box office. The Student Of The Year actor will be next seen in Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor.
