Angelina Jolie-starrer Those Who Wish Me Dead is gearing up for its OTT release in India on June 10 on BookMyShow Stream, the online booking platform’s OTT service. In the US, the film was released simultaneously in theatres and HBO Max, which is WarnerMedia’s streaming service.

Those Who Wish Me Dead is co-written and directed by Taylor Sheridan. The neo-western action thriller features Angleina Jolie’s character Hannah as a smokejumper - a firefighter whose job is to stop deadly wildfires - taking charge of a kid named Connor who is being hunted by assassins.

Those Who Wish Me Dead boasts of a solid cast. Even the assassins are not extras, as is the norm in most action movies. Nicholas Hoult and Aidan Gillen play the roles of two ruthless and highly trained killers who are on the heels of Connor. Jon Bernthal plays the role of the local sheriff who also becomes involved in the hunt. Joining them in the movie are Tyler Perry, Jake Weber, James Jordan and Tory Kittles.

Those Who Wish Me Dead’s official synopsis reads, “Oscar winner Jolie (Girl, Interrupted, and the Maleficent films) stars as Hannah, a smoke jumper still reeling from the loss of three lives she failed to save from a fire when she comes across a traumatized 12-year-old boy with nowhere else to turn.”

The film received mostly positive reviews when it was released in the US- it holds a rating of 62 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. A critical consensus of the movie on Rotten Tomatoes reads, “A squarely traditional ’90s-style action thriller, Those Who Wish Me Dead is elevated by Taylor Sheridan’s propulsive direction.”
