For actors, the first few days of a shoot are probably the most thrilling since they get to enter a new universe and get to know new characters. Anil Kapoor acknowledges that being a part of Animal is exciting. Anil joined the crew on July 20 in Mumbai, after Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna started filming Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film earlier this year.

The actors and crew of the criminal drama, which reportedly casts the senior actor in a grey part, are currently on their way to Delhi to begin a long schedule. On being questioned about the role, Anil plays his cards close to his chest. He told Mid Day that he could only describe the role as strange and intriguing. The actor was eager to collaborate with Sandeep because he enjoyed working with Kabir Singh. Anil also enjoyed the story that Sandeep told him, and he knew he wanted to be in the movie.

Anil plays the tough father of Ranbir's criminal son in the crime drama. The veteran actor collaborated with the late Rishi Kapoor on several films, including Karobaar and Gurudev. Working with the son of his late actor friend is a joy for Anil.

The actor added Ranbir is a gifted, diligent actor who successfully captures the subtler aspects of every role. Younger actors like Hrithik Roshan in Fighter, Aditya Roy Kapur in Captain, Ranbir in Animal, and Harsh Vardhan in Bindra are his co-stars. He's in one of his best phases right now, noting that his appearance in the film will change.

Anil was recently seen in JugJugg Jeeyo, in which he portrayed the onscreen father of Varun Dhawan. Interestingly, he also played Neetu Kapoor's onscreen husband, who came on the big screen after a very long time. The film, directed by Raj Mehta, also starred Kiara Advani as the female lead.
