Dhananjaya is all set to light up the screens as the dashing and daring police officer in Vijay N's Gurudev Hoysala, an action-drama scheduled to release on March 30th. Going against the grain, the makers have chosen to release the film across the country and a few select overseas locations ONLY in Kannada, with no dubbing versions available during the theatrical run.

And supporting them in the cause are many highly reputed distribution agencies, including Anil Thadani's mighty AA Films which has already distributed Hindi dubbed versions of KGF 2 and Kantara.

KRG Studios, another reputed distribution company in its own right (KGF2, 777 Charlie, Kantara, etc.) will be handling Karnataka for the theatrical release of Gurudev Hoysala with AP International distributing the film in Tamil Nadu. Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra will handle distribution in Telangana with Magic Frames taking care of the distribution in Kerala.

Home Screen Entertainment will be distributing Gurudev Hoysala outside India.

Very recently, Gurudev Hoysala got caught in a slightly tricky title clash issue wherein the makers were forced to pick a name for their film and drop the previous & original title, Hoysala. The issue came to light when Kannada filmmaker and actor Hoysala Murthy, at a recent press meet, revealed that he has had the 'Hoysala' title registered to his name since 2017 and presented a court stay order against KRG Studios. Although the same title was originally owned by late film producer Ramu, Dhananjaya & Co. later procured the title from his wife and actor Malashree Ramu. However, with Murthy's film clearing the censor certification round well before the Dhananjaya starrer did, the former held the final rights.

Dhananjaya's film will now arrive in cinema halls as Gurudev Hoysala. The film also stars Amrutha Iyengar, Naveen Krishna, Avinash BS, and others.
