Animal has turned out to be Ranbir Kapoor's second-highest-grossing movie of all time. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has turned out to be a money spinner at the box office. The movie opened at ₹63.80 crore and has been unstoppable at the ticket window. Within five days of its theatrical release, Animal is about to enter ₹300 crore club. With that, the movie has surpassed the lifetime collection of Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh.

Well, in just five days, Sandeep's Animal has surprassed the lifetime collection of his last movie, Kabir Singh. The 2019 film featured Shahid Kapoor in the lead role while Kiara Advani played his love interest. For those who are unaware, Kabir Singh's lifetime box office collection is ₹278.24 crore.

Animal vs Brahmastra

Meanwhile, Animal has also shattered Ranbir's previous film Brahmastra's record. For the uninitiated, the Ayan Mukerji movie's lifetime BO collection is ₹257.44 crore. Again, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film surpassed this collection of Brahmastra in just five days of its theatrical release.

About Animal

Helmed by Sandeep, Animal opened to polarising views from critics and audiences. Ranbir played the lead role with Rashmika Mandanna essaying the role of his love interest. On the other hand, Anil Kapoor is seen as Ranbir's father, Balbir Singh, in the movie. As for Bobby Deol, he is the main antagonist of the movie.

What's next for Ranbir?

As of now, Ranbir has decided to take a break from acting. The actor hasn't signed a new film after Animal's theatrical release. He wishes to spend more time with his daughter Raha and his family before he hops on to his next project.
