Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal has been the talk of the town since its theatrical release on December 1. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, the movie clashed with Sam Bahadur at the box office. Although the film has received polarising reactions, Ranbir and Bobby Deol have been lauded for their performances in the movie.

Veteran actor Prem Chopra, who made a special appearance in Animal, has also hailed Ranbir and Bobby's performance in the film.

Animal box office collection

Meanwhile, Animal has emerged as a box office hit. The film is one of the highest-grossing movies of this year. Within 10 days of its theatrical release, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has minted ₹432 crore at the box office in India. As far as the global collection is concerned, the movie raced past ₹650 crore worldwide.

More about the movie

Animal is Sandeep's third film after Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy. Like his previous movies, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer was called out for toxic masculinity and misogyny. Having said that, the polarising reactions to the film haven't affected the movie's fate at the ticket window.

A sequel to the film, tentatively titled Animal Park, has been confirmed. While Ranbir will be seen in a double role, Triptii Dimri is likely to have more screen time in the film.
