Animal: Ranbir Kapoor has already started prep, will bulk up for the movie

The year 2022 has been quite hectic for actor Ranbir Kapoor. After wrapping up Brahmastra, the actor got busy with his wedding festivities with Alia Bhatt, who is also the female lead, opposite him in Ayan Mukerji’s trilogy. The wedding of the two actors was the buzz of the town and it looks like the two do not have enough time to rest. They will be getting back soon to their projects.

While Alia Bhatt will resume the shoot of Karan Johar’s film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, Ranbir Kapoor has already begun prepping for his movie, Animal. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ranbir will begin the first schedule of Animal in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, according to a recent Mid-Day report.

And the Saawariya actor will have to undergo a physical transformation for the role. The actor will need to bulk up to get into the skin of the character. As it turns out, Ranbir has already begun the process of bulking up for his role in the mafia drama under the supervision of instructor, Shivohaam. According to Pinkvilla, he is adhering to a strict workout and dietary regimen. The actor will film for two days in Manali before heading to Mumbai for a week-long shoot on Vanga's film.

The actor seems to be very dedicated even though the journey is not going to be easy for him. Following the April schedule of Animal, Ranbir will have to adapt a leaner persona for Luv Ranjan's rom-com, which features Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead. The two will be seen collaborating for the first time. According to a source who spoke to the portal, he will have to regain muscle for the second schedule of Animal in September. “He will head to Manali for a two-day shoot on April 22, followed by a week-long shoot in Mumbai,” said the source from Animal's unit.

The actor will then shoot for Luv Ranjan's film for a month in Spain and Mumbai, where he will appear thin and toned. After finishing Luv Ranjan's film, Ranbir will finish Animal before the end of the year, the insider said.

Meanwhile, Animal also features Parineeti Chopra, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The film is being planned for a release in December, this year.
